The structural shop drawing’s primary emphasis is on the particular product and or installation, they exclude notation concerning other products and installations, unless integration with the subject product is necessary.
In many cases, partially for a fabrication companies shop drawings are the basis or key inputs for enterprise resources planning systems.
Shop drawings are typically of pre-fabricated components with enough information to define geometry so that components can be manufactured.
